I love evaluating numbers. 🤓

Your sales rep will tell you things like, "you are outperforming industry standards," "your advertisements are resonating," and "the numbers don't lie."

Here's the thing. Digital advertising is set up to perform. The house almost always wins. 👈 Read that again.

When looking at campaign performance, your digital advertising results are only one piece of the puzzle.

You have to tie it back to the front door if you want the real picture.

And by that I mean, you have to look at what you were trying to accomplish with the ad.

If your advertising didn't increase an in-house metric that you are trying to impact, if you don't bring the campaign full circle, you are missing an opportunity.

It's true. The numbers don't lie. Make sure you are looking at the metric that matters before announcing success or failure.
